WE TAKE
SMALL JOBS
SERIOUSLY.
Repairs, odd jobs, and the fixes you've been putting off. We'll sort them out. Fixed price quotes, fast response, and we show up when we say we will.
You've posted on the Canberra community groups. You've called around. You've been told it's "not worth the trip" or heard nothing back at all. We know the story — it's one of the most common complaints homeowners in Canberra have. Small jobs get ignored because most operators only want the big ones.
We're not most operators. Small jobs are a big part of what we do. If it needs fixing, we'll come out, quote it honestly, and get it done.
What counts as a small job?
If you're not sure whether it's worth calling, call anyway. We've fixed everything on the list below and more. Most of these jobs take an hour or two — that's exactly the kind of work we turn up for.
- Door that sticks or won't latch properly
- Screen door repair or replacement
- Leaky tap or running toilet (minor plumbing)
- Loose or broken cabinet hinges
- Flat pack and IKEA furniture assembly
- TV mounting and cable management
- Picture hanging and mirror installation
- Lock replacement or deadbolt installation
- Cracked or chipped wall patching (plasterboard repair)
- Fence paling repair or replacement
- Gate that drags or won't swing right
- Garden shed assembly
- Gutter clearing (single storey)
- Pressure washing — driveway, path, or patio
- Caulking around baths, showers and splashbacks
- Outdoor light fitting replacement
- Letterbox repair or replacement
- Weatherstripping and draught sealing
No job is too small if it's been sitting on your list. Call us and we'll tell you straight whether we can help.
Why we actually take these jobs
Most trades price themselves out of small work because the margins are thin. We get that. But small jobs are real problems for real people, and they deserve the same attention as anything else.
Our team doesn't operate on minimum call-out fees that make a 20-minute fix cost a fortune. We quote the job fairly, show up on time, and charge you what we said we would. That is it.
There is also a practical reason: a lot of small jobs, ignored long enough, become expensive ones. The sticking door that's dragging the frame. The blocked gutter that backs up in autumn. The cracked wall that was "just cosmetic" until it wasn't. Getting them sorted now costs less than waiting.
How it works
1. Call or message us. Tell us what needs doing and where you're located. If you've got a list of jobs, bring the whole list. We'll work through it with you.
2. We give you a fixed price. No vague estimates. We'll tell you exactly what the job costs before we start. The quote is the price.
3. We show up and sort it. We turn up when we say we will, do the job properly, and clean up when we're done. No chasing. No follow-up calls. Done.
Got more than one thing needing attention?
One of the most common calls we get goes something like this: "I've got a list of small things — not sure if it's worth your time." It is always worth it. A half-day visit covering five or six jobs is efficient for everyone — less back-and-forth, less disruption to your week, and one invoice instead of five.
If you've been putting off a bundle of small repairs, call us and run through the list. We'll tell you how long it should take and what it will cost. Most people are surprised how affordable it is when everything gets done in a single visit.
Servicing Canberra and surrounding areas
We cover all Canberra suburbs, Queanbeyan, Googong, Goulburn, Cooma, and the surrounding region. If you're within striking distance and have work that needs doing, call us and we'll confirm we cover your area.
